Seminar for goalkeeper coaches in Nitra led by a former expert from RB Salzburg!

Sascha Marth, an Austrian expert with significant international experience (RB Salzburg, Groningen FC, Kairat Almaty, Lokomotiv Moscow, Qatar "A" National Team and currently Liverpool FC), led a seminar for Elite goalkeeper coaches from Slovakia and Hungary. The seminar was attended by goalkeeper coaches from ŠK Slovan Bratislava, FC Spartak Trnava, MŠK Žilina and FC Košice. From Hungary, experts from Fehérvár FC, Puskás Academy and Budapest Honvéd participated in the event. The seminar was held with the support of the technical department of the SFZ and in cooperation with the West Slovak Football Association. On this occasion, we had a short interview with one of the owners of our company, Tomáš Darázs.

 

What inspired you and your team to organize such a seminar in Slovakia?
Our goal is to create an educational platform that provides Hungarian and Slovak coaches, scouts, goalkeeping coaches, analysts, and strength coaches with the opportunity to participate in high-quality seminars led by renowned international experts. Additionally, we aim to support football professionals in expanding their experience and building international connections through study trips abroad. The programs organized by Danubia Football Institute s.r.o. represent outstanding professional standards and introduce participants to the latest trends and methods in football. During the seminars, attendees will have the chance to learn directly from top international experts, while the study trips will offer insights into the operations of foreign clubs, including their training and youth development systems.

What was the main goal of the seminar and did you manage to achieve these goals?
In our region, goalkeeping coaches face the greatest challenge in accessing quality training, as opportunities in this field are extremely limited—not only locally but also in neighboring countries. This is why we initially wanted to focus on goalkeeping coaches. However, we also plan to organize seminars for other football-related specialties in the future. Did we achieve our goals? The overwhelming interest and the presence of the Slovak and Hungarian elite in goalkeeping coaching clearly prove that we did. Moreover, the feedback from participants has been exceptionally positive.

What role did the technical department of the SFZ and the West Slovak Football Association play in the success of the seminar?
We are extremely grateful to the SFZ technical department for recognizing the potential of our initiative and awarding credit points to the participants of the goalkeeping seminar. This has not only enhanced the prestige of the training but also increased its recognition and acceptance. Likewise, we would like to express our gratitude to the ZSFZ for providing the venue, which also contributed to the high standard of the seminar.

What are your plans for the upcoming period?
In 2024, we aim to organize another high-quality seminar for youth coaches, featuring one or more renowned international experts as speakers. Additionally, we are already in the process of planning events for the first half of 2025, and we will provide further updates on these at a later stage.
