Opening of the Košice Football Arena with the participation of AS Roma!
How do you evaluate the event, did you achieve the set goals?
First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Peter Schmiedl and the leadership of the city of Košice for the trust they have placed in TrustGelei & Partner Ltd. and Danubia Football Institute Sro. in handling important tasks related to the match. I believe the management of the KFA made an excellent decision in choosing AS Roma, as the FC Košice - AS Roma match already has a tradition in the city. Therefore, it was logical for the Italian football star to be the highlight of the stadium opening. Our main goal was to fully meet the needs of the Košice Football Arena and AS Roma, as success for us means that our partners achieve their set goals.

What is the significance of the opening of the Košice Football Arena for the city of Košice and the local football scene from an external perspective?
From an external perspective, it can be said that Slovakia’s second-largest city truly deserved this beautiful and modern stadium, where the local community can spend their leisure time in a pleasant and high-quality environment. As for the added value of the match, more than 12,000 people attended the event, creating a fantastic atmosphere. I am confident that both the Arena itself and the match have contributed to the development of social life and, along with it, the enhancement of the community experience in the region.
What challenges did you face when organizing the AS Roma trip to Košice?
A world-famous club operates with an exceptionally large support staff, but essentially, there was no request we couldn’t fulfill, thanks to the fantastic attitude of the people we encountered in the city. From the director of airport, the police, the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel, and bus companies to every employee of the KFA, everyone approached the event with great positivity, which made our work significantly easier. They addressed every requirement constructively. I can only say the most positive things about everyone involved in organizing the event. The entire city, led by its administration and the KFA management, did everything possible to create an extremely successful event.
Do you already have plans to organize other similar large events?
I believe this match can serve as a model for other Slovak clubs. It is the perfect example of the financial and marketing opportunities that such events offer if the host fully capitalizes on them—just as the Košice Football Arena (KFA), under the leadership of Peter Schmiedl, has done to the fullest extent. We hope that other clubs will also embrace this type of partnership, and together, we can contribute to achieving the marketing, professional, and financial goals of all partners.
